Paul is a professional forester with ten years of forestry and land management experience. His specialty lies in forest ecosystem management and restoration. He has worked in the mountains of North Carolina managing upland hardwoods, as well as the Alabama gulf coastal plain managing longleaf pine. He is also very knowledgeable of the various types of timber harvesting systems and understands how the market works.
A native of Mississippi, he obtained a bachelor's degree in Forest Products with a minor in economics from Mississippi State University. Paul also has two years of post-graduate studies in forest economics. He served as graduate research assistant in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State where he researched policy and economics as it relates to private forest landowners.
Paul resides in Moulton, AL along with his wife Ashley and their two children, Ellie Grace and Brice. In his spare time, he likes to hunt and fish.
